NEW! Late-Breaking Poster Awards: AAI student and postdoctoral members who submit a late-breaking, first-author abstract will be considered for Poster Awards.

AAI invites abstracts of unpublished, original research to be submitted for presentation at the meeting. All abstracts will be reviewed by committees of experts in their respective areas and scheduled for presentation. Outstanding regular abstracts submitted by January 9, 2018, will be selected for oral presentation in Block Symposia (oral presentations of abstract data).

All abstracts, including those selected for Block Symposia, will be scheduled for poster presentation in Poster Sessions held on the exhibitor floor. Posters shall be put up by 9:30 AM and available for viewing throughout the day until 4:30 PM. Authors will be present during Poster Sessions held daily from 2:30 PM – 3:45 PM on the Exhibit Floor. Note: No scientific sessions are scheduled during the Poster Session times!

Posters are the most dynamic aspect of the AAI annual meeting! Meet abstract authors for face-to-face discussions and learn about their most recent research.

Block Symposia are two-hour symposia consisting of short oral presentations of those abstracts that are deemed to be the best in each topic category. First authors have the option of requesting ‘Oral and Poster’ or ‘Poster Only’ when submitting their abstracts. Up to 40% of the submitted abstracts will be chosen to be presented in these symposia.

IMPORTANT:

All accepted abstracts, including those selected for oral presentation in a Block Symposium, are programmed for poster presentation and must be displayed in the Exhibit Hall for the entire day of their assigned poster session. All authors must be present at their poster in their Poster Session on their assigned day between the hours noted above. Any authors failing to (1) display their poster throughout their assigned day, (2) be present during their assigned poster session will forfeit publication of their abstract in The Journal of Immunology Special Meeting Abstracts Supplement AND (3) AAI travel awardees must present their abstracts in poster presentations to receive award reimbursement.
