AAI Late-Breaking Poster Awards Now Closed.

AAI Travel Awards and Grants recognize the promise and bolster the professional development of investigators of all career stages by assisting them with travel to the AAI annual meeting.

Travel Award Reimbursements
Log in to your AAI profile at https://account.aai.org/login.htm to submit a PDF of your completed reimbursement form with receipts. Reimbursement requests will be accepted beginning May 16, 2018, and closing August 1, 2018. AAI will not accept materials sent through regular mail or by email.

AAI Laboratory Travel Grant

AAI is supporting travel grants to mid-career and senior investigators (associate professor, full professor, or equivalent) to assist them in attending the AAI annual meeting. These grants will provide up to two travel awards per laboratory. The grant is awarded to the PI or laboratory director as one recipient, and they may select a second recipient from their laboratory.

AAI Trainee Poster Award

This award provides travel support to AAI trainee members (students and postdoctoral fellows) whose first author abstracts submitted to the AAI annual meeting are selected for poster sessions only and found to be exceptional by the AAI Abstract Programming Chairs. Selection will be based on the originality and significance of the research being presented.

Pfizer-Showell Travel Award

This award recognizes the professional promise of an early career investigator (assistant professor or equivalent) by assisting the award recipient with travel to the AAI annual meeting to present their research. This award is supported through an endowment from Henry J. Showell and Pfizer, Inc.

AAI-Thermo Fisher Trainee Achievement Award

This award recognizes up to six promising trainees in the field of immunology. Selection is based on career promise and presentation of an outstanding first-author abstract selected for a Block Symposium. This award is generously supported by Thermo Fisher Scientific.

AAI Undergraduate Faculty Travel Grant

AAI is supporting travel grants to undergraduate faculty to assist them in attending the AAI annual meeting. The grant will also support travel costs for an undergraduate student of the recipient’s selection.

This award provides travel support to AAI Trainee members (students and postdoctoral fellows) whose first-author abstracts submitted to the AAI annual meeting are selected for presentation in Block Symposia.

Lefrançois-BioLegend Award

Established to honor the memory of AAI Member Dr. Leo Lefrançois, this award is intended to advance the career of a trainee who attends the AAI annual meeting and presents an outstanding abstract specifically in the area of mucosal immunology. This award is generously supported by BioLegend and donations from friends and colleagues of Dr. Lefrançois.

Established to honor the memory of AAI Member Dr. Joseph Lustgarten, this award is intended to advance the career of a mid-career scientist who attends the AAI annual meeting and presents an outstanding abstract specifically in the area of immune regulation. FASEB DREAM Mentored Poster/Platform Presenter Travel Award

The FASEB “Diversity Resources for Enrichment, Access & Mentoring” (DREAM) Program is supporting travel awards for eligible underrepresented minority students and postdocs for the AAI annual meeting. The award is available for first-time attendees and presenters who want a mentored meeting experience at IMMUNOLOGY 2018TM.
